Hoow green are you?
Since some time ago, I've learnt a few eco-friendly practices while surfing on the internet. There are a lot of campaigns and organizations promoting how to take care of our environment in social networks trying to caught people's attention about this issue. They teach you about reducing carbon's use, recycling, different alternatives of transport and the use of materials.
Lately, I've started to recycle boxes, bags and glass. When I buy something to drink, whether it's a juice box or a beverage bottle, I throw them into specific trash cans which you can find on the streets.
I also changed the way I go to university. Instead of using the public transport or a car, I ride my bike everyday to class. It's healthier and I'm also helping the environment by doing it. Although there are a lot of eco-organizations, I haven't joined one as I prefer to support them by following their ideals and sharing my knowledge about it with other people.
I've also started recycling paper at university and also at home. I put a special box at the entrance so my family can put the paper they won't use anymore there and recycle it.
To reduce carbon footprint I have bought compact fluorescent light bulbs to save energy and I reduce water by turning the faucet off when shaving or brushing my teeth.
I think what's missing in this big city is more conscience about our environment and how we are damaging it. It'd be good if government put more emphasis in share all these alternatives ways to change our lifestyle while being friendly to nature, so that we can live in a more healthier place.

I think the paper had to know that their time has gone!... Nice actions, because the little things and the share of knowledge was the unique way to change everything :P
